LTSS COIN Vision: Empower Veterans and the Nation to overcome the challenges of aging, disability, or serious illness.
LTSS COIN Mission: Develop research on measurement, implementation and quality of VA LTSS that enhances access to and value of care delivered to vulnerable Veterans.
Established in October 2013 by the VA's Health Services Research and Development Service, the Center of Innovation in Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS-COIN) is an emerging health services research center with a focus on aging and other vulnerable Veteran populations. Led by Director James Rudolph, MD and Associate Directors, David Dosa, MD, MPH and Stefan Gravenstein, MD, MPH, the center boasts an analytic core dedicated to Health Services Research in Long Term Supports and is strengthened by its working partnerships with the VHA Geriatrics and Extended Care Service, Geriatrics & Extended Care Data & Analyses Center (GEC DAC), Brown University Center for Gerontology & Healthcare Research* and the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.* The LTSS-COIN is also a proud recipient of VA HSR&D Advanced Fellowship in Health Services Research & Development Program which allows the center to recruit and mentor junior researchers with a passion for improving Long Term Services and Supports.
