Gordon Fox, Honorable Speaker of Rhode Island's House of Representatives, was the keynote speaker at the Providence VA Medical Center's Black History Month Celebration on February 14.  Mr. Fox is the 222nd Speaker of the House for the State of Rhode Island and is the first African-American to attain this prestigious position.  During his speech, Mr. Fox spoke about his love of history and how learning and understanding about those who have come before us can serve as a framework to plot a path forward.  Mr. Fox thanked all employees for honoring and serving those individuals who have fought on behalf of our country and for what they believe is right.
