Home Study of an Advanced Upper Limb Prosthesis

Linda Resnik, PT, PhD, FAPTA, leader of the Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology (CfNN) Focus Area 3, continues to lead the Merit Reward of the VA Home Study of an Advanced Upper Limb Prosthesis. The overall objective of the study is to examine: the feasibility and acceptance of home use of an advanced upper limb prosthetic device; the logistical support requirements utilized during three months of home usage;  and comar the outsomes of users of patterne recognition control scheme to the outcomes of users without.  Data collection is being conducted at the James A. Healy VAMC (Tampa, FL).  The Providence VA Medical Center serves as the Coordinating Site for this project.
