Yosef Berlow, MD, PhD is a psychiatry resident at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. His research has focused on utilizing and developing methods to analyze magnetic resonance imaging data to identify biomarkers of psychiatric and neurological diseases. He received undergraduate training in psychology and behavioral neuroscience at Lehigh University. After graduating, he joined the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program at McLean Hospital, where he became involved in neuroimaging research investigating late life mood disorders and dementias. He then joined the MD/PhD program at Oregon Health & Science University, where he completed his graduate training in the Department of Behavioral Neuroscience and his medical training in the School of Medicine. He is currently working with Dr. Noah Philip at the Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology to develop algorithms to predict response to transcranial magnetic stimulation in individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder, using magnetic resonance imaging derived functional connectivity markers.
