Dr. Wu is a heath services researcher interested in cardiovascular epidemiology and outcomes, and translation of novel cardiac imaging techniques. Dr. Wu has studied the effects of anemia and blood transfusion on cardiac events and mortality among elderly Veterans having non-cardiac surgery in the VA National Surgical Quality Improvement Program.  His current research projects examine the utility of group medical visits for congestive heart failure and diabetes to optimize cardiac risk profiles and health related quality of life.
