Prior to becoming Center Director, Dr. Rudolph held positions as the Boston Site Director of the New England GRECC, the acting VABHS Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Care, and the Director of the Delirium Patient Safety Center of Inquiry. Dr. Rudolph is focused on improving the care of older patients, especially identifying high-risk patients at a vulnerable time in their lives. His research, program innovation, teaching, and clinical activities have all been directed towards developing innovative clinical tools, resulting in measurable improvements in the care of older patients at the local, regional, and national levels. His Delirium Toolbox program is disseminated to five facilities in VISN9 and the award-winning PILL Program has been disseminated to the Togus VAMC and San Antonio VAMC. Nationally, he serves as the chair of the VA Geriatrics and Extended Care Measurement Task Force and was the founding President of the American Delirium Society (ADS).
