Research Training

"Education is not a project; mark, diploma, job, money in that order: it is a process, a never ending one"
Bel Kaufman

All investigators and research staff (paid and unpaid) must take training before working on any research project.
These include several VA mandatory trainings as well as research specific trainings.

The majority of trainings are done thru the VA's Talent Management System (TMS)*.  An account will be set up for you
and will be populated with the required trainings related to the type of research being done.

Please note that human subject studies also require Good Clinical Practices for Protection of Human Studies
training done thru CITI*.  The CITI program provides research ethics education to all members of the research community.
If you are a new learner, you must register to create your own username and password to gain access to the site.
Please choose VA as the institution from the list provided in the dropdown menu.
