Cape Cod Regional Veterans Expo
The Cape Cod Vet Center will host a Veterans Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in the upper gymnasium of Dennis-Yarmouth High School, 210 Station Ave., in Yarmouth, Mass.
The expo will feature information about Veterans' benefits and services, including health care, disability claims, Veteran burial, VA home loans, Veteran employment services, hospice information, and mental health services. Flu shots will also be available.
In addition to the Vet Center, the Hyannis VA Clinic, Providence VA Regional Benefits Office and the Massachusetts National Cemetery will all be represented at the event, in addition to Veteran service organizations and other area non-profits offering services for Veterans.
The Hyannis VA Clinic serves more than 4,000 area Veterans, hosting more than 19,000 outpatient visits annually and is part of the Providence VA Medical Center system, which provides patient care services in the areas of medicine, surgery and mental health, including more than 30 sub-specialty clinics. The Providence VA Regional Benefits Office administers a variety of services, including disability compensation, education assistance, insurance, VA home loan guaranties, pensions, and vocational rehabilitation and employment for Veterans, service members, their families and survivors in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
