Spring into Health Day, Health Fair

The Homeless Patient Care Aligned Team’s (HPACT), Spring into Health Day, Health Fair, held on March 25,2016 was met with great success, despite the looming chance of thunder showers. With the help of Brian Sullivan of OSDRI, tents were provided, and the event went on without a glitch.
Throuhg a collaborative effort we were not only were able to provide the Veterans a nutritious lunch, but we were able to educate them as well. Representatives from the VA’s Nutrition department Amy Barrett, Employment Services Specialist Neonee Senoro, Hud/Vash Social Worker Richard Grasso, Suicide Prevention Coordinator Jeanie Smith and Roxanne Sousa National Grid Outreach Worker, made themselves available to educate our Veterans to their programs.
A special gift of a Holiday Meal Basket, was provided for each participant by Operation Stand Down of Rhode Island.
