The Providence VA Medical Center is co-sponsoring the 2011 "Veterans Visions, Veterans Voices: Her Story / She Served Too" exhibit along with the University of Rhode Island (URI) Feinstein Providence Campus Urban and Culture Program.  The event is being held at the URI Feinstein Providence Campus, 1st and 2nd floor lobby galleries, 80 Washington Street, Providence, Rhode Island and is open to the general public.

The Veterans Visions, Veterans Voices exhibit began November 7 and continues through December 24.  The display features 200 pieces of artwork in all media, including creative writing as well as works from the Combat Paper Project and from approximately 70 Veterans from World War II to the present.  In addition, there is wartime memorabilia from the Varnum Memorial Armory specific to women Veterans as well as a number of pieces from and about women Veterans.

A Gallery Night Reception and Open House was held on November 17, which included the Triumphant T-Shirt Project--a collection of expressive art on T-shirts depicting Veteran survivors from childhood and military sexual trauma.
